Swimming for the first time in 5 years?!? OMG I have totally forgotten how to swim properly ><
I think I need refreshment courses on how to breathe properly in water. Char as well.
So embarrassing haha. I think Char was doing freestyle and kicking in the water but she actually was swimming on the same spot O.O Okay I am equally bad as well, I sank into the water when I tried to float on my back :(
BUT....nevertheless,
Me and Char had a fun escapade today at Jurong East Swimming Complex. Whoohoo!!!!
First, we stuff all our bags into the locker and locked our valuables up. Then we realised that we forgot to keep our spectacles and slippers cos they were not allowed in the pool. Luckily the auntie at the counter selling floats allowed us to leave our stuff for her safekeeping:)
Wah really half-blind without our glasses! We couldn't really see where we were going and it was so brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy COLD! We plunged into the icy cold water and SCREAMED!! But very shiok:)))
Then we proceeded on to the jacuzzi. The force of the water was so strong that we couldn't breathe. But it was rather relaxing when we got used to it. Fell asleep even.
We attempted to conquer the three fearsome water slides. 2 storeys, 4 storeys and 5 storeys respectively. The 2 storeys one looked deceptively easy but it turned out to be the worst one amongst the three slides cos you cannot sit on the float and the power of the water was SUPER strong and the speed at which we slid down was lightning-like. And when you come down, the force of the water is so strong that it pushes you down to the bottom of the pool and it was rather difficult to regain your balance. I forgot to close my eyes and it got hit by the turbo-power water coming down at the end of the slide. OUCH! Char forgot to close her nose and water got in. Poor thing! Then we tried the pink, 4 storeys slide which was so fun that we tried it two times! :D Char screamed her way down and some younger kids behind laughed at her haha. I didn't scream heh. Only at the second try when I was facing the wrong side backwards. I couldn't see where I was going and I was worried about banging my head on the walls of the slide or something. The last blue slide which is also the highest one at 5 storeys is the ultimate SHIOKNESS! Too bad char couldn't join me as she felt a little faint.
We carried our floats to the lazy pool and sought a suitable place to launch our floats into the river. We went round the lazy pool for I think about an hour or so, shutting our eyes and relaxing as our floats bobbed up and down along the lazy river. Damn cool cos there were mist and fog as we went under the cave. Haha you know when you float right, those little kids will swim beneath you to get past you which is quite ticklish heh. And my float keeps bumping into other people's one. I liked the part where there were rain drops and you can see rainbow! And the currents in the lazy pool is very strong! We keep getting swept away when we tried to climb out of the pool. Char tried to grab hold of me and save me but I pulled her down instead. ( like those drama shows where the actor tries to save the actress from falling off the cliff : Hold on tight to my hand, don't let go!)
The wave pool was awesome too! They activate the wave thingy every hour for 15 mins which is like super super cool. I was swept by the strong waves to the deep side, around 1.5 metres to 1.6 metres and my feet couldn't touch the ground! I was so freaked out cos the float was kinda heavy and I couldn't get myself up the float cos the wave was so strong. Luckily i found enough strength to get myself up:)) Phew, very hardwork indeed! Me and Char saw a cute lifeguard but we weren't wearing our spectacles so maybe it could be that our eyes were playing tricks on us. Hehe :) LOL. Then we joked about pretending to drown to get him to save us and ask for his number or CPR haha. No way lah what if he turns out to be an old uncle O.O
After the workout, we went to have a hearty lunch to reward ourselves at Long John Silvers.
Yummy-yummy-licious! The spicylicious chicken is not even spicy at all lor but still nice lah. Then we walked walked around Tiong Bahru Plaza to look for things to do. Went into the arcade and played around as well as watching people play. We saw a very very old uncle who was in his seventies playing racing car. WOAH! Respect! Then we wondered into the kiap-kiap machine shop and tried our luck. OMG I was so close to catching it man! For a moment our hearts leapt. I swear I saw it almost dropping into the hole! I secured the toy so tightly but in the end the machine jerked and the toy fell. Haiz. One of the employee was really nice. He offered the lady two toys by opening up the machine even though she only kiapped one cos there were two children and the other little girl looked really sad cos she didn't win a doll. Sweet! We went to More Than Words to look at cute soft toys and sneakingly took some photos. Oops we were behaving so suspiciously that others would have mistaken us for trying to steal or something cos they have the no photo policy. Nope we did NOT try to steal cos we are good girls :)))))
Then we ended our escapade with a trip to Chameleon and buying two rings yay!
Damn fun! <3333333333333333333 Next time everybody should come with us! Far-ma-lay!

today had the very delayed four-fifth clique outing at AMK. Everyone is so busy! Char has LSAP, xy, mf and sy has SPH attachment. Okay i guess I am the bum out of the five. :( But OCIP plus HK trip takes up almost the whole dec so i can't go on any attachment.
Kbox and watching 3D christmas carol and eating five scoop Andersen ice-creaaammmmmm!
Yay! We haven't had an outing since march.
Began the day at AMK Kbox. At first the atmosphere was quite cold and everyone was quite dead and it didn't help we kept picking emo songs to sing. But emo songs are nice haha:) My all-time favourite
我不是你想象那么勇敢 by 梁文音 and 叶子 by 阿桑。Heheh I tried to lighten everyone's mood with catchy songs by Lady Gaga but her MV are really R-rated so I force everyone to close their eyes and waved my hands wildly in an attempt to shield them from the Tv screen. But we caught ah ma staring with her mouth wide open. Tsk tsk. But her song are really nice! Especially Paparazzi. And what's wrong with Lady Gaga's songs hur! What 人不可貌相?!?!?! Oh yes, the chicken rice for Klunch is damn nice! Must try :))))To make the most of the little time we had left, we decided to make ourselves high by singing really
HIGH songs! We really went crazy man!
孙燕姿's 第一天,五月天's 恋爱-ing and 离开地球表面 as well as S.H.E's SUPERSTAR and some jolin tsai's songs. It really hit the spot! We were jumping madly on the couch and I think I saw some people peeking into our room and getting a shock. We were purely screaming and shouting our hearts out into the mikes so you can imaging how loud is it. There were
some people who kept
破音at the high part haha! Super funny :D
Then we went to queue up for tickets at the AMK cathay. It was really crowded cos it's public holiday today. We had some time before the show started so we decided to take a few peektures to mark our outing as well as walking about in the arcade. We saw a neoprint machine but since Mengfei was absent, we abandoned the idea of taking neoprints cos it wouldn't be a complete far-ma-lay potrait.
The 3D movie Christmas carol was awesome! Apart from a few glitches at the start due to some technicalities, it was worth the 13 bucks spent:) It could be better if they added subtitles cos we were left confused by the very heavily accented english of the characters in the movie. Scrooge was so funny at the end, like major transformation LOL. And oh, the snow seem quite real :D
To end the day off, we treated ourselves to Andersen ice-cream which is oh-so-sinful and oh-so-heavenly! There were rum and raisin with a strong tinge of alcohol, coffee almond, macademia nut, chocolate mint and belgian chocolate chip with chocolate coated waffle with pure chocolate sauce!!!!! <3 Que c'est délicieux !

Me and MJ went to the NLB at bugis today to negotiate for children's books for OCIP today. Then we went to POP central at bras basah to buy silver spray paint. A young lady came up to me and tapped my back. I got a little shocked cos I thought she wanted to buy a pen from me. The other time a guy tapped my back at Popular, he wanted to buy a pen from me. I kinda had the Déjà vu feeling. But luckily she only wanted to borrow my popular card cos she forgot hers. I hesitated for a moment but lent it to her anyway cos she seem really nice:) She did return the card and helped me collected the popular magazine:))
Then we took a bus back to school to meet yiling for lunch before we join her for library duty. First time at burger shack today!
Oooo the serving there is rather huge and the fries is super delicious! I polished everything off in minutes cos I was so hungry. Yiling ate the ice-cream burger while me and MJ ate the original beef burger. It was the first time I finished a whole meal. So proud of myself. Yay!
Yiling took out her cute piggy camera and took photo of us eating. Must develop the photos and show me k? :) I love her camera haha.
As me and MJ had exceeded our required duty hours for the year, we sat on the chairs and watched yiling do her duty. We decided to spent our time more wisely and photocopied some pages of Broader Perspectives which is quite useful for GP. Damn shiok that we have the whole library to ourselves cos it's the holidays! We initially wanted to mug in the school library but fail lah. :(
When i got home, my dad forced me to take the H1N1 jab once they announced it on the news that clearance is given for youths 10-18 years old to take the jab. He shove me the money and forcefully "pushed" me down to see the doctor. My dad is super paranoid heh. O.O But I know he cares <3 ARGH ultra painful! The doctor pokes the needle deep deep into your arm and you can feel the medicine flowing in your veins. A bit 酸酸的 afterwards.

went to the national lib to study with MJ today.
Checked out the study lounge but it was too crowded so we settled for the sofas at the central lending library.
Haha I caught MJ falling asleep again while reading GSC notes.
Then we caught a bus to suntec cos MJ had to go to the carrefour to get something. We had lunch at suntec's mac. I was so hungry that I had initially wanted to order Double Mcspicy. But MJ chided me " You have a small stomach and still want to eat so much. Don't waste food." Luckily i listened to her and ordered the normal portion but upsized it because I wanted to obtain more game coupons! I peeled open my game coupons excitedly. Woo hoo I won two iced latte! How lucky I am :D I shared my ice latte with MJ :)
We ate our fries slowly and sipped our coke leisurely as we studied in macs. Shiok! I heard poker face and paparazzi like thrice during my four hours there. Nice!
Then MJ complained of hunger and we went to suntec food court to have our dinner. I wasn't hungry so I decided to watch instead haha. But once I stepped into the food court, I saw a stall selling my favourite soup and couldn't resist eating heh. In the end, I ate even more than the hungry MJ. Humph look who has a tiny stomach!
We went back to camp at macs by buying a drink to share cos we were really bloated after dinner. Stayed all the way until 10 plus. So hardworking hor? Not bad i guess :) at least i can remember some facts about new immigrants blah blah blah ha!

went to school for GSC extra lesson with char.
Linlaoshi made us do one compre in 1hr and 10min and in the end we exceeded by 5 mins. :( as always the score isn't very ideal...I do hope a miracle will happen during my GSC paper which is in less then 6 days' time?
Linlaoshi's really nice...even though she may have mood swings during lessons but she is indeed one caring teacher. I want to thank her for her motivation! She always scribble little notes beside my exam paper ( jiayou! Don't give up, you can do it) She told us that it is possible to get an A if we work hard, and in A level exams, those who don't usually get an A miraculously got an A. Just believe and do your best. Then before we left, she gave us a gift from her secret stash. haha
Last lesson with her le.
Then both of us stayed back at the class bench to study for GSC. It wasn't very productive cos it got a little noisy with people at the neighbouring class benching laughing and chatting loudly with the Bboys practising in the background which proved to be rather distracting as well. Oh wells so many notes to read but oh so little time. I do hope I will be able to make it. After all those people left, it got really quiet which was quite unusual in HC. Like it really rare to see no one st any of the wings. There was no one else but the both of us at the left wing. Totally desserted and really quiet. Me and char went to experiment with the switches at the left wing cos we wanted to turn on the lights. The mechanism of the lights are really weird. I merely wanted to switch on one of the lights but the switch turned on a whole row of lights which I deem really unenvironmentally-friendly!
But a few moments later, a group of guys came and sat at the class bench opposite us. They were drinking uh something :X and swearing loudly? Then they accidentally wrenched off the " Silence examinations in progress" board while playing around. Then one of the guy jokingly proclaimed" hey the two witnesses over there, someone someone from what class what class just ripped off the board" I gave them a puzzled look and looked around us. Erm me and char were the only two girls around so I guess we were the two witness? LOL. A strange bunch of guys lol.
Me and char fought over the issue of whether the sky was dark or not. I told her it was going to rain cos it was atill early and the sky was getting quite dark but she said nope the sky is still bright, only the floor is dark -.- how can the floor be dark if the sky is bright. Okay I am being kinda lame here arguing such a stupid topic haha. Ignore me. I am getting crazy from all the memorizing of chinese stuff. Reading chinese makes me berserk.
Bad day lah, i got stuck in a traffic jam for 86min and stood in the bus for a full one and a half hour! Returned home to find all my family members out :( lazy to walk down again so i cooked instant noodle for myself. Sad fate right? It turned out that all of them went for H1N1 jabs. So cute! The image of them all in the doctor's rm at once and waiting for jabs! I had mine first last sat. Couldn't go for the H1N1 as I am not 18 yet. Got the seasonal flu jab which was the best I could get. So if I get a flu now, it would confirm be H1N1 cos by right I will not be affected by any other flu except H1N1 cos I am not vaccinated against that.

Went to marine parade lib to study with MJ!
We had lunch at MOS burger <3
OMG i love the rice burger with unagi and the fries and the milk tea there!
It's all your fault MJ now I am addicted to Mos:(
The milk tea is really really nice :)
Seriously it was a failed attempt at studying GSC today. I thought I could finish studying the realatively thin stack of notes within hours but I was wrong:( Studying after lunch is unfeasible. Within minutes on embarking on our study marathon, we fell asleep on the comfy couch. Luckily the library officer who was patrolling didn't catch us oops. After the nap, I was playing the racing car game on my phone which was quite addictive heh. Time passes really quickly when you play. After reading a few sheets of notes on the financial crisis, it was soon time for dinner.
To save money after our extravagant lunch, we went to eat economic rice instead haha. But we were unsatisfied. It was as if the meal was not complete. Both of us screamed ice-cream at the same time! Woohoo great minds think alike! In the end we settled for Anderson ice cream. Coffee almond flavour! It really hit the spot. MJ commented that it's really an irony that our dessert is even more expensive than the main course. Usually it's the other way round. Oh wells our attempt at saving money epic fail.
So no life, after PW still have to study for GSC. :(( Sad right? My bro went to stay overnight at my aunt's hse. So envious. I think they will be going to wild wild wet tmr!
Friday, November 13, 2009,8:36 AM
Went to school today to trade in my I&R. Twice. Heh Mrs Tan caught me the second time. Ha. She was like" eh didn't you trade in just now already?"
I swear that was the last thing I would ever do for PW.
Then went to the library to do five hours of duty with meng jiao and shi xuan. Did shelfreading which was totally eeky :( The books were like super dusty and some of the shelves were so old that they shook tremendously upon touch. Scary.
Then it suddenly occurred to me why a CCA like library need representatives to go for the CCA leaders' first AID course. Library is like such a dangerous CCA.
Yeah right.
Was like totally hungry after duty cos I skipped lunch. Felt slightly faint even.
Me and mj took 174 to Orchard Ion where we met up with our sec school buddies:))
I LOVE ION ORCHARD. ESPECIALLY NIPPON-YA!
The whole basement is like dedicated to Japanese food fare. Everything simply looks delicious. I seriously I could eat the whole basement if it was possible. OMG!
Too spoilt for choices! There were like piping hot Ramen, japanese rice balls in sweet soy sauce, soft white jap ice cream, golden brown octopus balls (takoyaki) and so much so much stuff OMG OMG! I think I am in Jap paradise.
After much deliberation, we decided to settle for Go!Go!Curry! Met Jing jing while queuing cos I felt a tap behind me.
We thought we would trust 8 days' review and we were right:))
The sauce was a little spicy, sure, but mostly it was just sweet and savory and maybe a little salty i guess— robust with flavour. It blended perfectly with the rest of the ingredients: The pure flavor of the sticky rice, the crunchy breading of the pork and chicken cutlet. I love dipping the egg with the sweet curry sauce.
The Grand Slam portion is so huge that 2 people can't even finish it. And I am serious. You will be totally crazy if you can finish that on your own. Okay maybe not for some people who have huge appetites.
Okay allow me to gush and rave about NIPPON-YA!
Basically it's a japanese food boutique with ultra cute packaging that looks too pretty to be eaten. *hyperventilates.
Even their sample food models look so inviting. And so real!
I would totally give anything to own a shop like NIPPON-YA.
Bunny-shaped soft biscuit with macha filling that's cute to the MAX!
Dark chocolate with powdery sugary icing that's sinful TTM!
And there's the CUTE japanese doll wrapper wrapped around a nut and jap biscuit. On first look I thought it was inedible. OMG.
I think I am going crazy.
I want to live in NIPPON-YA!
*hints* eh my b'day coming soon hor *hints*
Then we walked around and window shopped a lot. Diva, MUJI, 77th street, Uniqlo.
MUJi's toys are so interesting and fun. Lin li commented that we are a bunch of childish people who refuse to grow up. Cos we were totally fascinated by the chopping board set that is super FUN. I mean whoever invented that toy is a genius. The segments of the carrot is joined up by sticky pads. Then you use a wooden chopper to pretend to cut up the carrot. The carrot breaks into many segments upon chopping and give a crisp just like the real thing.
As we took the escalator, Mj commented that the yellow shirt that Zi hui was wearing matches the guy's shirt who was standing at an escalator just opposite going in the same direction as her. Right next to her. Really that shade of yellow is like quite rare and you can't possibly miss it. What a coincidence that was. There was a great uproar. Couldn't stop laughing after that. We were gasping for air and our faces were as red as tomatoes from all the laughing.
We tried out nerd specs at 77th street which was really amusing. Heh.
On our way out, we spotted Adrian Pang the mediacorp actor and his wifey. He looks better in person:) He was on the phone so he didn't notice us watching. Then Amanda commented that she has the same phone as him so we urged her to walk beside him and show off her phone to him. Haha we were so kaypoh that we tried to tail him and see which shop he would go next. Okay I know. You must think that we are such a bunch of stalkers.
Tried out some winter jackets at Uniqlo where they were having some sort of sale I guess.
After much walking about, we felt famish again so we went to grab a bite. Ate the famous octupus balls there that had people queuing. Met Kaywei my sec 2 classmate there. Drank the macha float with ice-cream. The macha's quite bitter but the ice-cream soften the hues of the bitterness which is like not too bad. Super bloated after that. I feel so guilty about my food escapade today.
Saw a couple PDA-ing near the MRT exit which totally freaked me out and I literally screamed cos it was quite gross. And I think my scream was quite sharp and loud cos the echo resonated from the cellings of the shopping mall. Didn't think they heard me cos they were too engrossed and there were so many people around. EWW. Mj was traumatised by it too.
Camwhored in front of a dark panel and we bid farewell as we made our way home.
Mj and me went out to take a bus back and we were struck awed by the christmas decorations that we couldn't help but whip out our handphones and start snapping. The purple christmas tree is so tall and BEAUTIFUL! There were dancing lights and awesome effects played out by the water fountain outside Ion Orchard.
It is really quite a pity that Huiyi couln't make it for this gathering:( After GSC we shall organize another one :D Set!
Friday, November 6, 2009,5:23 AM
Went on library
exco outing to
kinokuniya at orchard!
The
kinokuniya at Orchard is damn huge!
There's is so many cool
jap magazines that teach you pretty manicure, style your hair and how to make cute soft toys. But I can't read them cos I don't understand
jap:( Can only admire the pics
heh:)
Japan is LOVE! We made a pact to backpack to Japan after A levels after we have earned enough money from our holiday jobs :))))
Yay! Who wants to join!
We were given a budget of around $80 to select books we want for the sch library. I literally went crazy cos there were so many books I wanted but oh so little money:( In the end, I chose Time traveller's wife, Men in white and some nice
chinese novels. My Bio in
manga book got rejected:( It's damn cute! They explain bio concepts to you through
Manga characters like DNA replication, transcription and proteins! The other lib
exco members consisting mostly of PRC scholars chose very
cheam books related to sci concepts and economics. Those gives me the shudders. No offence
heh. I prefer reading sweet novels to
sciency books in my leisure time.
Kinokuniya sells really pretty and exquisite paper and envelopes from Japan which is great for letter writing:))
After that, I rushed to marine parade to have an outing with my cousin and auntie:)
We had macs and bought three
upsized meals ( more monopoly stickers). As usual, we got the same few coupons :
Farrer Road,
Bishan,
Geylang road etc. But we got 6
mcnuggets and a Big Mac :D Not bad
hor! So far, my
gameboard has almost everything filled up but I kept lacking one for every colour! :( I wonder how many more meals of macs I will have to eat before I win something awesome instead of the usual
ala carte Mac item.
Then we walked to marine parade lib to please our mums :X
My bro had to borrow
malay books cos his third
lang sucks.
Jasmine has to borrow
chinese books cos her dad asked her to do so. She's really funny
heh. The
chinese books she grabbed randomly seem not her age
haha. Even I a
CLL student find it
cheam hmm. But she say as long as it's a
chinese book then her mum won't nag at her
haha.
While waiting, I took a really thick history encyclopedia to entertain myself. Of course, I dosed off in short time. Zzz.
Charmaine called and fetched me
frm the lib and off to
ECP we went. Oops I think I looked like a mad woman when I ran with my hair flying in many directions and overshot her dad's car. Her mum was like um-
chioing heh.
Was quite worried when the sky got really dark and threatened to rain. We got our hopes so high that we would have a fun time cycling. Don't want to be disappointed :(
Me and char thought we were like ultra late cos the meeting time was supposed to be at 4pm when we reached there at 4.3
opm or so. Turns out that we were the earliest -.- as usual. Went to subway to meet
cherntze and
chenyi and waited for the rest to come. We felt a few raindrops while walking to the bike shop but that did not dampen our spirits.
Chose our bikes and we wheezed off!
Woohoo!
Urm the guys did not wait for us at first and they cycled off at super high speed til we couldn't see them anymore. So the few girls cycled off on our own. But in the end, somehow or other, we managed to meet up with them again. Waited quite a while for the others to arrive before we cycled together as a class:) First class cycling outing. Haven't cycled in ages! Love the way the wind blew against my face. It was a really breezy day!
My fringe got a little messy I don't care:) If it was
evelyn she would have screamed and held her fringe while cycling with her orange comb at the other hand ha!
Oh yes! While dismounting from my bike and carrying across the drain, I tripped and fell over some tree roots and partly due to the heavy weight of the bike. Not painful but Char saw my leg twist at a large angle and thought I sprained my leg badly. I didn't even realise my leg was bleeding badly until I went into the bike shop to get a basket to put our bags with
Chenyi and the bike shop
assisstant asked me if I need bandages and tissue to clean up my wound. I literally got a shock when I saw the wound. It's seriously not painful and I thought it was just a minor scrape. There was a random passerby guy who was damn mean ( okay not really). He offered to help me up initially but I got up quickly myself and shrugged the matter off by laughing at myself. For being so clumsy and stupid. Then he laughed at me. Partly due to my influence i guess. Nobody laughs when they fall right? He must think that I am such a strange person
LOL. I mean if I fall DURING cycling it's not so bad but who falls while PUSHING a bike? Gosh.
The five of us, ct,
cy,
yj, char and me cycled to
bedok jetty and took
peektures! The sea is so beautiful and I love the salty smell of the sea! Saw quite a few airplanes whoosh!
The Sun disappeared under the horizon and it was time for me and char to go. We sang our
fav song while cycling to the hawker centre to get the receipt from
YC in order to return our bikes. Then we reminisce about the fun times we had during our sabbats where we met really nice people. Especially our group mates!
We cycled at top speed back to the bike shop! Yay I overtook some guys but they overtook me again:( Felt really thristy after hours of cycling that I finished my bottle of water.
All in all, it was a fantastic class outing but it would definitely be more fun if the whole class could make it. :) Class BBQ next!
