Swimming for the first time in 5 years?!? OMG I have totally forgotten how to swim properly ><
I think I need refreshment courses on how to breathe properly in water. Char as well.
So embarrassing haha. I think Char was doing freestyle and kicking in the water but she actually was swimming on the same spot O.O Okay I am equally bad as well, I sank into the water when I tried to float on my back :(
BUT....nevertheless,
Me and Char had a fun escapade today at Jurong East Swimming Complex. Whoohoo!!!!
First, we stuff all our bags into the locker and locked our valuables up. Then we realised that we forgot to keep our spectacles and slippers cos they were not allowed in the pool. Luckily the auntie at the counter selling floats allowed us to leave our stuff for her safekeeping:)
Wah really half-blind without our glasses! We couldn't really see where we were going and it was so brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy COLD! We plunged into the icy cold water and SCREAMED!! But very shiok:)))
Then we proceeded on to the jacuzzi. The force of the water was so strong that we couldn't breathe. But it was rather relaxing when we got used to it. Fell asleep even.
We attempted to conquer the three fearsome water slides. 2 storeys, 4 storeys and 5 storeys respectively. The 2 storeys one looked deceptively easy but it turned out to be the worst one amongst the three slides cos you cannot sit on the float and the power of the water was SUPER strong and the speed at which we slid down was lightning-like. And when you come down, the force of the water is so strong that it pushes you down to the bottom of the pool and it was rather difficult to regain your balance. I forgot to close my eyes and it got hit by the turbo-power water coming down at the end of the slide. OUCH! Char forgot to close her nose and water got in. Poor thing! Then we tried the pink, 4 storeys slide which was so fun that we tried it two times! :D Char screamed her way down and some younger kids behind laughed at her haha. I didn't scream heh. Only at the second try when I was facing the wrong side backwards. I couldn't see where I was going and I was worried about banging my head on the walls of the slide or something. The last blue slide which is also the highest one at 5 storeys is the ultimate SHIOKNESS! Too bad char couldn't join me as she felt a little faint.
We carried our floats to the lazy pool and sought a suitable place to launch our floats into the river. We went round the lazy pool for I think about an hour or so, shutting our eyes and relaxing as our floats bobbed up and down along the lazy river. Damn cool cos there were mist and fog as we went under the cave. Haha you know when you float right, those little kids will swim beneath you to get past you which is quite ticklish heh. And my float keeps bumping into other people's one. I liked the part where there were rain drops and you can see rainbow! And the currents in the lazy pool is very strong! We keep getting swept away when we tried to climb out of the pool. Char tried to grab hold of me and save me but I pulled her down instead. ( like those drama shows where the actor tries to save the actress from falling off the cliff : Hold on tight to my hand, don't let go!)
The wave pool was awesome too! They activate the wave thingy every hour for 15 mins which is like super super cool. I was swept by the strong waves to the deep side, around 1.5 metres to 1.6 metres and my feet couldn't touch the ground! I was so freaked out cos the float was kinda heavy and I couldn't get myself up the float cos the wave was so strong. Luckily i found enough strength to get myself up:)) Phew, very hardwork indeed! Me and Char saw a cute lifeguard but we weren't wearing our spectacles so maybe it could be that our eyes were playing tricks on us. Hehe :) LOL. Then we joked about pretending to drown to get him to save us and ask for his number or CPR haha. No way lah what if he turns out to be an old uncle O.O
After the workout, we went to have a hearty lunch to reward ourselves at Long John Silvers.
Yummy-yummy-licious! The spicylicious chicken is not even spicy at all lor but still nice lah. Then we walked walked around Tiong Bahru Plaza to look for things to do. Went into the arcade and played around as well as watching people play. We saw a very very old uncle who was in his seventies playing racing car. WOAH! Respect! Then we wondered into the kiap-kiap machine shop and tried our luck. OMG I was so close to catching it man! For a moment our hearts leapt. I swear I saw it almost dropping into the hole! I secured the toy so tightly but in the end the machine jerked and the toy fell. Haiz. One of the employee was really nice. He offered the lady two toys by opening up the machine even though she only kiapped one cos there were two children and the other little girl looked really sad cos she didn't win a doll. Sweet! We went to More Than Words to look at cute soft toys and sneakingly took some photos. Oops we were behaving so suspiciously that others would have mistaken us for trying to steal or something cos they have the no photo policy. Nope we did NOT try to steal cos we are good girls :)))))
Then we ended our escapade with a trip to Chameleon and buying two rings yay!
Damn fun! <3333333333333333333 Next time everybody should come with us! Far-ma-lay!
