Mummy went to KL today. So had to prepare lunch myself even though i was sick and weary. No one was at home. Felt rather depressed. I miss her.

Had to do the laundry and wash my shoes too.
I used to take for granted everything she did for me.
4 more days til mummy comes home.

So much accumulated homework just like the mountain of dishes to be washed.

Just realised i haven't blogged for a week.

So much had happened.

Sunday, 26th April.

Went to watch huang cheng with muffin and ah ma.
Huang cheng rocks!
I could see all the effort put in by the huang cheng people. You guys did great!:D
I liked the last play most. Touching.

Meng fei and I went to This Fashion and tried on clothes.
Ah....pure procrastination.
Shopping when we were supposed to be studying chem

Monday, 27th April.

LEP scholarship interview.
Actually i was not exactly very nervous as I didn't expect too much from it.
However, as the clock ticked closer to 4.45pm, my palms began to sweat profusely.
There were three interviewers. They were rather friendly though, which made me feel quite at ease:) I think i gave rather silly answers, which caused them to laugh 3 times throughout the interview. My interview is an epic failure.

Interviewer:你平时爱看什么书？
Me: I 周刊
Interviewer: 你有么有阅读报纸？看什么专栏？
Me: 有，我只喜欢看有趣的新闻。
Interviewer: O, 你高级华文考到A1。
Me: Eh noe, 看I 周刊的好处!

After the interview, went for dinner with mengfei, shicheng zijing and zhefu at Clementi Subway.
Haha first time eating subway.
Can u believe it?:P

Played some dare games while eating. ( shall not elaborate)
Zijing damn funny, especially when the chocolate got stuck to his teeth.
Zijing likes to kope my cookie and drink.

Went for meet-the-people session at west coast.
Quite novel to me.
I was attached to a nice writer:)
My job:
-check for grammar errors in letter.
-listen to resident's problems
-translate chinese to english as writer is an indian.

Most of the residents that came had similar problems. Housing, jobs, traffic summons, hospital bills.

Tuesday, 28th April.

Hmm...a rather boring day. Zzzzz

Played soccer during PE. Quite fun la. But super tiring.

O yes did u know that priscilla runs faster than warren.:D

Ball can be snatched from yuhan easily as he dribbles at his own sweet time.

Had debate during gsc today on euthanasia.
Our team won!

Had gastric and went home.

Wednesday 29th April.

A rather mundane day too.

Had GP, PW, chem lecture, cll lesson.

PW lesson was okay.
I think Kai Ren is funny. haha

Kai Ren: Huilin, do you have a hole puncher to lend me?
Me: No, why don't you use pencil and poke two holes?
Kai Ren: Don't want la...my PI is so perfect, later they 故意 find loopholes not to give me full marks.
Me: .......

GP lesson was rather fun too.
The guys made me laugh so much.
Especially the part about biceps. haha yap chien.
The way zi keng read the merlion story made the whole grp burst into hysterical fits.

Had service-learning after school at ACS primary.

Conducted a game on colours with the kids. Similar to dog-and-bone.
Very enthusiatic and cute:D Could see they enjoyed themselves haha.
Lee lao shi was right, as long as the kids get to run, they will be happy.

Yum yum, mango cake bought by lee lao shi was d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!

WOAH! Damn proud of CEDAR:D:D Cedar has owned RGS once again! Go cedar table tennis! I am so proud of u guys:)
Saw mr chia and a few juniors again while supporting hwa chong table tennis. Brings back fond memories of cedar:)

I really miss my sec sch friends and teachers.

Haha cherntze commented that cedar girls can really cheer their hearts out + so high-pitched.

I miss cheering cedar cheers. Hearing those familiar cheers reminded me of the days we cheered during jogging sessions, sports day and at many random occasions. Cedar girls like to cheer. We cheer after speech day, we cheer after every kind of event imaginable. I felt an urge to fly over and cheer for cedar tt today.

Today's result was rather disappointing. HC lost to RI(JC). But i know they did their best and they put on a great fight today:D

WAS ULTRA LATE for school today, mainly due to two reasons.

1) There was a "typhoon" in singapore yesterday, causing trees to fall like domino blocks in bukit timah, so the cars moved like snail's pace today.

2) I was involved in a minor car accident. Really minor luckily. Thank GOD:D

I was late already+late somemore=very super duper late. Reached school at around 8.15am.

Was sort of in a state of shock after the incident. Traumatised by the accident.

Oh yea, on a brighter tone, i finally got my floorball stick<3
It wasn't exactly in the shade of pink i wanted but still..:D
Someone commented that it looks like cheap plastic or some toy from Toy'R'Us. LOL
I think the guys are really creative. They can have so many different functions for my little floorball stick. A gun, a golf stick, a farming hoe, a back scratcher, a commander stick( the kind u see in ndp or those used by uniform grps), a tool to 勾引 people ( by zikeng)

Had peer tutoring session at Kent Ridge Sec Sch.
My tutee very guai:) Yay!
But the bad thing is i forgot how to teach sketching of graphs. Argh.
But i manage to make him understand somehow haha.
Quite fun and meaningful.
The satisfaction u get when your tutee finally understood something.
It really made my day when Zaw said" Hey u make math so much easier."

Had NAPFA today.

It was kinda of disastrous:( Me and mengfei were happily lying on the mat meant for sit-ups. We thought we could start anytime we want as long as we hear the whistle and stop after 1 min. When the group of boys beside us were getting ready to start their sit-ups, we also laid down and got ready with them. The PE teacher whistled and off we went. Mengfei did 31 while i did 33. But alas, it turned out we were not suppose to start with the guys from the other class but wait for our turn:( And so, my 33 sit-ups done went down the drain. We had to re-do since it wasn't counted. My stomach was hurting like crazy from the lactic acid build-up. Damn painful. ARGH>< luckily i sort of managed 31 sit-ups on my second try with the help of Charmaine:D
So all in all, I did 64 sit-ups today.

Lesson learnt: Do not be impatient.

All the 5 items was okay, except standing broad jump which I got a B.

Today quite a lot of people were absent, about 1/5 of the class. :O We miss ah ma:(

YAY i m getting my stick tomorrow:D Woohoo. I can't wait to see how it actually looks like.

Bio test today was more or less screwed. :(

Didn't manage to finish it :( i think i lost some 10 marks??

It would be a miracle if i even passed. Goodbye Bio Olympiad. I guess people in Bio O are expected to do well in bio ( people like yuhan, Bryan and preston)

Mr Poh wants to speak to me tmr cuz i am a naughty girl who don't hand up hw. ( Oops)

Oh we had 3.5 hours of chinese lessons today.

We will be having a debate tmr about euthanasia during GSC. Me, mengfei, ah ma and char were initially saboed to become the speakers. Then later, upon our protests, we had lots drawn. Me, being super unlucky, hit the jackpot again. Haha i hope i dun screw it up tmr:P

Floorball training was rather slack but FUN:D We had lots of games. There was also the ordering of floorball sticks. I bought a white stick with flowery designs on the body which is like rather cool <3 I even ask the coach to change the blade to PINK!<3 Have u seen a pretty pink flowery floorball stick before? Awesome right haha:D

Can't wait to get my stick.

Went back to school today for social and grooming etiquette:)

I was almost late today, and dear Hong Hui was clearly getting a little...well angry. ( Sorry! )

Hong Hui: I am waiting at the class benches now, where are you?
Me: I am in the car outside Hwa Chong now, but I can't get in cuz the main gate not open. There is no security guard on duty. U wait ah I walk to the gate near the canteen side.
Hong Hui: ok i walk to the canteen and wait for you there.

Meanwhile Hong Hui walks to the canteen from the left wing.

Just as Huilin begins her walk towards the gate behind the canteen, the security guard appears out of the blue and opens the main gate. Huilin turns back and enters the main gate. Calls Hong Hui on the cellphone.

Huilin: Hong Hui! I am at the class benches on the left wing. Where are you?
Hong Hui:#$@#^%# I AM AT THE CANTEEN already! Huilin! I just walked from the left wing to the canteen.
Huilin: okay i walk over to the canteen.
Hong Hui: NO!!!! u stand at the central plaza. Don't move. Don't move. Don't move.

Hong Hui and huilin finally met each other. It was 7.57am. 3 minutes to 8am, the start of the etiquette course.

Hong Hui: Huilin! We are almost LATE! It's such a irony you know? We are attending an etiquette course and we are late? I am going to kill you! @#%#%@%( Murderous look in her eyes)

Attended the class with Mengfei and Hong Hui. Poor Ah Ma was in the other class, seperated from her dear Far-ma-lay.

I would say it was a rather useful workshop:D ( Tsk tsk Koh huilin y didn't u come? Hong Hui was grumbling about it lol )

It also helps that the trainer made the lesson fun and engaging, offering us tips on personal branding and enhancing our image quotient.

It's strange how guys don't know how to tie a tie properly. Either the back is long than the front or the tie has no shape. Cedar can proudly say that they have produced girls who can tie their own tie beautifully of the right proportions with the exception of yours truely. Yours truely has been wearing a school tie for the past four years but sadly still can't tie a tie properly.

Shame on her.><

Oh i learnt two bombastic words today: sommelier and maitre'd.

Betcha don't know what it means:P

The trainer was telling us how the eyebrows were extremely important features of a person.

But she advised us against plucking our own eyebrows.

Trainer: I have heard of girls who attempt to pluck their own eyebrows. First they pluck a few from left. Then they feel the right is thicker than the left so they pluck somemore. Then they feel the left is thicker than the right so they pluck somemore. It still doesn't feel right so they pluck somemore . It still doesn't look proportionate so they pluck somemore. But Alas! Just when they almost got the PERFECT eyebrows, they realise they have no more brows to speak off.

Hong Hui and I then studied and investigated each other's eyebrows.
Hong Hui: Do you think my eyebrows are okay?
Huilin: Erm how come one of your eyebrows has a tail while the other one doesn't? Your eyebrow looks weird.
Hong Hui: ( turns hysterical and hits poor Huilin.) ^%%$^#@#@ We should go for eyebrow shaping course! The great Singapore Sale is coming soon! 29th May! Where should we go? Jean Yip? Marie France Bodyline? Adonis?Do you think it will be weird if we suddenly walk to the salon and only ask them to shave our eyebrows? Should we get Koh huilin to come along? Let's grab Elaine too. She's an expert at this. I want to style my eyebrows! I am so excited!

The most fun part I feel was the dining etiquette course.

We were experimenting with the use of chopsticks today.

The trainer asked Hong Hui to demonstrate the use of chopsticks.

Trainer: Hold the chopsticks with the first three fingers. Try moving the chopstick up and down.
Hong Hui: *Tries with all her might to move the chopstick as best as she can.
Trainer: No that's not the correct way, all your five fingers are moving, only the first three fingers are involved. Observe how I do it.
Hong Hui: Cannot leh. My fingers are all connected. See, I can't move three without moving all five.
Trainer: YOU MEAN MY FINGERS ARE DISCONNECTED??

The trainer also taught us how to peel prawns without hands.

She demonstrated with such ease that it eluded me into thinking that it was easy peasy.

She got me up to demostrate.

First I cut off the head of the prawn. The prawn resisted my attempt to chop its head off. The plate shook with vigour.

I think the person sitting opposite me was super lucky today. At least the prawn didn't flew out from my plate.

Trainer: Don't use so much force. You are a lady mind you.

Then I forked it in its tiny body. Ouch!

Next I proceed to deshell the prawn. Try as i could, the shell remained stuck to the red body.
With a few moans and groans here and there, I managed to get majority of the outer covering off.

I admit it was a messy attempt. I wouldn't eat it if I were you.

I seriously think hands are better.

Oh well.

I just caught the flu bug. This is my 59th sneeze.

My mum told me if I sneezed consecutively for three times it means someone is missing me.

If it's really true, that someone must be missing me REALLY badly. Please stop missing me.

My nose is itchy and red. I just used up 1 box of Kleenex.

My dry throat is scratchy and my voice is croaky and I feel like a froggy.

Oh dear I seriously think I am falling ill.

Water drips out from my nostrils incessantly. It's really water, not mucus. It tastes salty. I couldn't help tasting it since there is a non-stop influx of it down my nose all the time which drips conveniently into my opened mouth as soon as I yawn, eat or attempt to talk. Soft of like how the solution drips bit by bit from the burette except that my nose is a malfunctioning one that cannot stop the solution from dripping out.

My mucus: sodium thiosulfate solution
My nose: burette
My mouth: the conical flask
End point of titration: when one box of Kleenex is used up.

Qn: calculate the number of moles of mucus needed for titration.

I yearn for Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa.

They don't seem so fascinating now compared to my " Mount Everest of homework"
