today we went to the fishtank to buy potato wedges.

It's so exciting trying out new types of food haha.

To our horror, when we got our wedges, it was still frozen cold. We didn't realise it at first but as we took the first bite, it was so cold and disgusting.><

And so we went to "confront" the fishtank uncle to "complain". The fishtank uncle offered to heat it up for us but we couln't afford to wait any longer as chem lecture was starting. So, we asked if we could collect our wedges later. The fishtank auntie and uncle hesitated for a moment. Then the wise uncle thought of a way to recognise us when we collect our food 1 hr later after chem lecture. He told us to unpluck the fork from our half-eaten potato wedges and take the fork with us. Mengfei's one even had tomato ketchup and some other sauce. We would show our fork as identification when we collect the potato wedges later. -.- so we held the fork on our way to the audi as it was quite oily. Look quite retarded haha. After chem lecture, we immediately ran to fishtank as we were so hungry. All the fishtank uncles and auntie were amused by us and our forks that they burst out laughing. They were like " oh the three forks people, here's your wedges." Oh you might think the saga is over when we got our potato wedges. To our horror, we realised that those were not our original wedges that we bought. The half-eaten ones. The auntie said they sold it. okay, they sold our half-eaten wedges?!?!? and mengfei's ketchuped ones too. i wonder who bought it haha.

today's pw lesson also very amusing. pris' grp had their trial today. Then they had the games segment which got the guys really crazy and wild haha. Then kaizhi and guangyi were busy taking photos of them raising their hands enthusiatically from various angles. Everyone froze to pose for a few moments. There was also the prize-giving ceremony which was super epic haha. The present which looked rather big, turned out to be wrapped with multiple layers of newspaper with two marshmellows haha. Yap chien shared his prize with us. So nice right? he gave us the newspaper wrapper -.- but he did offer us the marshmellows in the end. I got a little bored and started folding aeroplanes with the newspapers. Mengfei saw me and wanted to join in the fun. Then warren gestured to me as he wanted to play with the airplane as well. So i aimed towards him. But alas, due to many unforeseen circumstances and factors, it hit yuhan instead. oops >< Mengfei tried to aim it at shenyi at the suggestion of ahma, but, due to many unforeseen circumstances and factors, it hit yuhan yet again. yuhan's aerophilic to paper planes.

after GP, me, evelyn and mengfei chionged off to the sci centre for our volunteer induction programme.We had a briefing and a tour around ssc. When we first entered the dalton lecture audi, the sec sch ppl were staring at us. Even when we sat down, they kept turning around to stare at us somemore, whisper amongst themselves, laugh a bit, stare somemore, which made us uncomfortable. It was like the kallang wave. At first the row in front of us stared at us, then they whisper to their friends in front, then their friends stare at us and whisper to more ppl in front and soon all the rows in front were looking at us. So GL.

I <3 the sci centre. The exhibitions are all super interesting :D Come to think about it, i think i haven't been to the sci centre for a good 5-6 years?!?! We should have a class outing there haha. It's really fun :) not as boring as i thought. The mathematics exhibition has super fun activities like personality test using numbers, jackpot, projections of 3D stuff which is uber cool. The 3D projection of the crystal-like thingy looks real and 3D but once you reach out to touch it, it is actually not there. Optical illusions are fun too:D The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the witnessing of the hatching of baby chicks. <3 We were so lucky to be able to catch it in time. As the baby chick struggled to emerge out of its shell, it dawned upon me how fascinating life is and that is what sci is truely about. The chicks are SO cute that i was tempted to bring one home :P Can't wait to start my stint soon :))

I better not elaborate on it further. I am just so upset by it. >< URGH!

today bio spa very messed up and screwed up. I guess i was so flustered that i didn't see properly what i was doing. I switched off cherntze's gas supply because i mistook them for my own. Then i kept lighting the lighter on the bunsen burner but it did not seem to work. I kept turning on and switching off cherntze's gas supply which i mistook for my own. Then i realised that my own gas pipe wasn't even connected to the gas supply in the first place>< poor cherntze was shocked to see that her water bath stopped boiling for a moment. Oops.

GSC compo test today haha. totally strange topic. i kept repeating myself over and over again til i got tired of writing about it. I think the marker will also get tired reading cuz i am just so long-winded.

today is injury-day. char kept injuring me today. I dunno why but she kept bumping into me nad hit me with her ultra-heavy dictionary. Then i kept stepping on her foot the whole day.We vowed to stand 1 m away from each other haha.

had cll remedial today. Chenlaoshi :) had a better understanding of guwen. she also taught us how to study guwen. Ok i realised there is no easy way out when it comes to studying. Only hardwork will pay off. Must score well for cll lecture test for chenlaoshi:)

oh ya before cll remedial, me and char saw someone at the class bench but we couldn't really make out who it was. we were squinting like mad and squating down from the third floor but our eyesight was too poor so we still couldn't tell who. we kept guessing who it was haha but to no avail. We thought it was ____. But then we weren't sure. Then cll remedial was beginning so we had to go into the classroom for lesson. However, me and char couldn't take this lying down. Curiousity was killing us. And so, we told the teacher that we wanted to go to the "toilet" and sneaked down to the class bench to find out who exactly it was. OMG i think we super lame la! OMG we kept laughing all the way down as we found it really stupid man. i feel stupid as i am typing this -.- And so we were right haha. it was ____.we kept giggling and couldn't calm down after that. okay at least we cleared our doubts and have no regrets in life LOL. We are such retards man!

then i waited at the class bench with char after remedial and we chatted for one hour. Of life and hope. About universities and ambitions. Harvard and imperial college, our dream uni:D. yes we must live in the hostel together and go explore and work in cafes haha. i can already imagine some of our class ppl in the A* list of scholars. . Everything under the sun and random stuff. then we entertained ourselves with the panorama magazine wahaha.

received the letter for my piano exam date ( 2nd sep), later than expected but still.... >< i think i am so screwed up lah. I haven't completely mastered the pieces yet. Must brush up now or else really GG. No more slacking and fooling around man.

Teacher say must be more passionate when playing romantic period pieces but i always play strictly in time which makes it boring. yes, must have more feelings and expression. I just can't get the feeling right. I admit it that it feels strange and i know i am not doing it correctly. Where has the feeling gone?

And i always miss my chords and my aural is horrigible:( i really cross my fingers and pray hard that i pass this exam.

I am finding it so hard to balance and manage all my commitments. So tiring.
CCA, PW, 2 SLs, piano exam, promos, CIP at ssc, GSC a level, bio SPA, and many more to come...

on a lighter tone..i am going to have a hearty breakfast at macs/kfc tmr:)) followed by some shopping maybe cuz daddy not working tmr:))

NDP celebration in school today.

So-so bah. We had combined assembly at the high sch side. Listened to long speeches but i think everyone not listening. Witnessed the march past by high sch uniform groups. The first two squads not bad heh:) but the other squads a bit messy. Quite funny to an extent, especially when their hands don't sway in the correct orientation/direction. I think they gave up being neat and anyhow march lol.

Then we watched malay dance which is very "entertaining". We were tickled to the max haha. Then some ppl tried to pluck the flag yet into my hair:( deja vu. It just happened at the ndp dinner last week lor. but i think the ndp dinner one was more embarrassing cuz they ganged up on me, one restrained me while the other one carried out the act. Hmm so sly.

The most anticipated community singing of national day songs turned out to be a flop:( I missed cedar's ndp celebrations so much!!! I am thinking of ponning next yr's ndp to go over to cedar haha. The atmosphere was quite cold and not high at all:( We used to jump at every chorus like crazy back then. And we used to sing like millions of songs. But this year i think we sang only 2-3 songs?

Ndp quite boring la, mostly talks and a few songs and it ended abruptly.

After ndp evelyn and me went to do chem make-up spa. So no life right? chem spa was quite okay la...i should have studied the last two pracs throughly!!! 4 teachers invigilated us. During the course, i encountered certain funny incidents. We were supposed to boil the cold water in the tiny 100cm^3 beaker for the prac, but this guy sitting behind us boiled the water in the big 100cm^3 measuring cylinder over the bunsen flame. Damn epic haha. The teacher was like anxiously gesturing but he continued boiling haha.

Rushed home to eat and bathe before joining the class for k-box session:)

my throat still hurts rather badly as it has not fully recovered yet. So couldn't really sing the songs i like:( not satisfying enough, I wanna go again next time! But otherwise, quite fun la:) quite entertaining as well watching others sing. haha.

Then rushed off halfway for YLEP retreat. :))

me and xiaoxi got lost for half an hour while searching for haidee's hse on cherry avenue-.-

I think we super noob la, got map also can get lost-.- we kept walking in circles when our destination was just right in front of us all the while! -.- we walked in the backalley which was super scary, i kept screaming as we couldn't see anything and it was ultra dark. Thoughts of rats and cockcroaches that may reside in the backalley frightened me. oh yes, i just realised that newton is a haven for the ang-mohs. There is this fantastic eating place filled with a lot of ang-mohs and has pretty decent food. Then we got barked at by a ferocious dog which scared us out of our wits and our souls out of the body and mind out of our brain in the night. What an adventure it was. I saw the ang moh from USA who acts in the funny channel 8 show on tue 8pm haha.

When we finally saw Villa Azura, we literally ran towards it and gave thanks to the heavens.

Played games and had a whale of a time over food with fellow ylepians :))
xiaoxi told us her sob story of her abuse by mengshu which was super duper funny. I know it's mean but we really couldn't control ourselves. The way she illustrated it was so vivid that I laughed till i teared a little. Poor thing.

Today's math lecture was very entertaining.

LOL there was this guy from 09s70 sleeping right in front of us. His head rotated 360 degrees around the world. And he kept banging his head against the girl beside him. His head almost fell behind the chair. He was lucky Mr yeow didn't catch him.

Didn't do PE today cuz i had MC. Played racing cars on people's HP and observe people playing netball. FUN haha. Then listened to 21 Guns. Our new class song:) I like the chorus most.

Then we went off to fishtank to chiong our overdue hw. Quite productive la:)

The fishtank uncle like to tease me and char. Once, i asked for chocolate croissant and he replied" chocolate kosong ah? hahahaha" Then another time, i asked again for chocolate croissant, he replied " chocloate sotong? hahahaha" I a bit scared of the uncle. >< he is very weird. Still got a lot of stuff but i can't remember.

Oh yes, damn embarrassing today! I was walking suavely and confidently across the audi after math i think when my bag's strap sudddenly snapped. Really sudden and it caught me off guard. The people in the front row looked and me and i turned red. Oh man! I hope they don't recognise me anywhere in school. I think i need a new bag. Blame it on all my heavy lecture notes haha.

today's bio lecture on SPA had a lot of HINTS that were so obvious :P Shall study really hard for SPA. The reality of SPA finally sunk into me after she showed us the break down of bio marks for A levels. Must buck up to get my A!
I still can't believe bio SPA is next week and it's less than 6 days' away!

stayed back in school for chinese remedial with renlaoshi. Renlaoshi's lesson is so fun:):):) but sadly today's the last lesson.

Then stayed a little more longer to wait for mengfei to finish her bio o while completing my VERY overdue GSC zuowen. I accompanied mengfei to LT2 for bio . We were quite early so we stood at the door talking. Then miss choong asked me whether i wanna come in cuz i was standing at the door with mengfei. Er i said no awkwardly :) It's a rather strange feeling. I still remember the scene when i approached miss choong to quit bio o. She asked me thrice to make sure i really wanted to quit. She said " it's a pity, do you know what you are missing out on? "When Mr Poh knew i quitted, he chided me for giving up such a good chance when many wanted to get in bio o but couldn't. I said i wanted to focus more on A level bio cuz my grades were falling. I don't know if i made the right choice. I really couldn't stand the stress of living up to expectations. I just want to be a normal carefree student :)

yiling and mengfei then accompanied me to the staffroom to hand up my VERY VERY overdue GSC zuowen. luckily chenlaoshi was still there. She awarded me with a few peanuts with shells for being a good girl who kept her promise to hand up her GSC zuowen. Super funny! Er Haha random. She was snacking on peanuts in the staffroom. The peanuts quite salty and tasty wahaha. :)

Yiling wanted to accompany me, but when she saw Mr Loy at the bus stop too, she abandoned me and took her 852. I went to say hi to Mr loy. First time meeting Mr Loy at bus stop. :D

today was a horrible day. D:

3 tests in a row. Chem, Math then CLL.

Chem MCQ quite hard, i anyhow choose my options and tikam.

For math, even though it was an open book test, i also don't really know how to do D:

For CLL, even though I "tried" in vain to mug for it, i realise my chinese really sucks. Got 5/15 for my vocab thingy. URGH!

Fanglaoshi even stood in front of me during the test and smirked at me for not studying. He said it in what I thought was a sarcastic tone" the test was easy huh?" " haha you didn't study right, you got 5/15" He raised his eyebrows playfully. He is very distracting leh! During the test, he kept staring at me and my paper. I can't think la! This is not the first time okay! Ask xin ying! He took her zuowen to read the test. Imagine you were in full concentration focusing on your test when he distracts you and breaks your thoughts during the test.

Zuowen was okay bah...crapped my way through. I think it had no plot, just random scribbling and rambling.

During GP, cherntze asked me whether i wanna go swimming. Er so random haha. I don't mind but not today haha. Swimming is quite fun. Haven't gone swimming for a long long time.

Stayed back in school to do bio AA today. But i guess we just wasted our time visiting random websites and bloghopping and facebook. procrastinating! Luckily don't need to present tomorrow. But i haven't do my gene expression tutorial yet! Huntington's disease is a really tragic and terrible disorder. It is fatal and there's currently no cure for it. The videos on HD on youtube is really saddening.

then went to serene centre macs for dinner:) i love macs haha. Everything's just so tasty when you're hungry. Even junk food and calories:) No more macs for mengfei for 3 weeks.

I want to go arcade after national day celebrations! Race car! YLEP retreat!

oh yar, today SOMEONE and I did something "immoral" to ah ma today. We were holding hands and swinging them high while walking to the fishtank before GSC. Then SOMEONE says " let's hit ah ma's butt". I said no ( of course! i am a good girl) Then by CHANCE, we swung our hands to high up and maybe a little too vigorously that we hit ah ma's __________. Heheh. I think the tests were getting to us. We not that pervertic la. We couldn't stop laughing after that cuz poor ah ma didn't know what was going on. She thought we kicked her butt when in reality it was something worse. Oops. We went to the toliet to wash our hands to get rid of any evidence.

Had NDP dinner at Teban Gardens for YLEP event just now.

Reached there at 4pm to help out to arrange the tables and hand out flags, brochures, programme booklet etc. There were a total of 400 tables.

I was the usher for the event. Really tiring, my legs are so sore:( At first, didn't really have much " business" as the diners tried to find their own seats and declined my help. Some looked very dao and fierce and i didn't dare to approach them. Some diners walked with determination to their destination and seemed sure of where they were seated. But alas, the place was so huge that they couldn't find their seats, so they gave up and asked for my help. Heheh. The dinner was supposed to start at 7pm but most people arrived only after 7.30pm.

My ears still hurt from the constant blaring of the music and the lion dance.

The organisers are really generous.

We had two free tables for our CCA. I am not sure what is the ticket price but I heard that people have to donate quite a sum to get a table.

8 course dinner with fish maw soup, steamed fish, prawns, abalone mushroom, herbal chicken, cold plate with octopus and seasoned jelly fish. And dessert!

Haha at first we thought the abalone mushroom was really abalone. When the dish arrived, everyone pranced upon the " abalone" and fought for it. It was really just mushroom haha. We figured that since New Moon is the sponsor, maybe there was the possibility of abalone. So disappointed :(

The organisers quite clever eh. They purposely withhold the food and not serve them so that you will listen to all the speeches by the MP and GOH. Otherwise we would probably continue eating our food and not listen :P

A very sumptuous and filling dinner.

Throughout the dinner, we were entertained by songs and dances from various performing arts groups. Know what, they have fake applause pre-recorded so that the atmosphere will not be so "cold" after each performance. I think they know that people will be busy eating instead of paying attention haha. The emcees had quite a hard time in getting the diners to be high. There was lukewarm responses since everyone was really busy tucking in. We also had to stand numerous times for special guests, MPs, GOH etc. Cannot eat properly ah.

We zi-highed while singing the national day songs and waving the flag.

Not forgetting the yam-seng too. 3 times in all :D

The MP Mr S. Iswaran walked to our table and talked to us. Erm didn't really know what to say haha. We just smiled and commented that the food was delicious LOL.

Later, xinyi and xiaoxi ganged up on me by implanting their flags into my ponytail. I must have been such a sight. No wonder the organisers asked us not to wear any sch-based shirts. Hmm.

EOM, WR due. Chem/math/CLL test on mon. GG liao.
