Yup it's a very special day. :)
It's the day when Jesus Christ died on the cross of Calvary to save us from our sins so that we may receive salvation and be with God again.
Although today I am still very sick and lying in the bed most of the time, I managed to lift myself out of the bed and read the Daily Bread and sang/hummed praise songs ( tried to sing but voice keeps breaking due to bad throat) QT time :D
Isaiah 53: 7 "He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth." Even though Jesus was wronged and accused, he did not protest and feel hatred against those who persecuted him. Instead, he interceded for them and asked his Father to forgive them for they do not know what they were doing. Jesus still loved them even though they were hurting and mocking him.
Good friday is the day where we remember God for sending His one and only son Jesus Christ for sacrificing and dying on the cross for us because He loves us so much. God is love. Because Jesus died on the cross for us, we are given a new life in Him.Very touched by our wonderful God and His great and timeless love for us. How could greater love than this ever possibly exist? " For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only son so that those who believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life". Thank you Jesus for loving me unconditionally. Our God truely is an awesome God! Amen!
